Susan Trimm

I was an art major, with concentrations in painting, and art education.  I had a career in Denver Public Schools as an art teacher and administrator.

Painting, mostly acrylics and water media a favorite. I also love mixed media, collage, colored pencil, and in recent years, creating with images of antique post cards, ephemera, and vintage music.

I prefer landscape and non-representational compositions.  I am inspired by trees, bare branches, vast meadows, mountains, texture in nature and the work of artists, current and past. 

In addition to traditional paintings, I enjoy creating original decorative pieces for the home; hand painted garden flags, table runners, placemats, and coasters.  I also handcraft luggage tags, and tissue and keepsake boxes.
